Letter from Allan

Hello, everyone!

I just wanted to write a note about the new box set coming out next Tuesday, October 9th. We are really excited about it, and our label has done a wonderful job on the packaging!

This set celebrates our 10 year anniversary in the music industry (I can't believe it's been that long!). There are 4 discs: the first three are the albums "Be Still My Soul," "Press On," and "Hiding Place."

The 4th disc starts off with all of our radio hits that aren't included on the other three discs, so you get ALL of our "hits" in one package. It's nice to have them all in one place. But what we're really excited about are the 6 previously unreleased / new recordings that finish off the disc! Three of them are brand new recordings with Amy that will give you a nice preview of our album that will be out next spring (these are songs just for the box set; they won't be duplicated on the new album). The others are a mix of unreleased tracks, a live track of Todd singing "Were You There" (if you've seen us live, you know how powerfully he sings it!), and a piano/vocal version of "Through It All" with Nicol that we recorded several years before the "official" album version on "Hiding Place."

It was also important to us that this would be a worthwhile package for those of you who have been with us for a long time and might already have most of our albums. We worked very hard on the booklet with our label. Todd, Amy, and I wrote all the new material in the booklet. We wanted to give you a personal account of things since you can find "professional" biographies of us on other sites (and even our own). We wanted you to know how it felt for us during those formative years. The booklet is in color and B&W, and has some great pictures in it ranging from candids on the road, professional studio shots (including some "outtakes" from the sessions), to pictures of Todd and Nicol growing up in Africa. You also get all the song lyrics and notes on the individual songs themselves.

We hope you guys (and gals!) enjoy this new release! So many of you have told us that you buy our CDs to give to your family and friends, and that means SO MUCH to us. This package is a great way to give them most of our work in one bundle! Or maybe you'll want to hang on to this package yourself and pass along the CDs you've already bought!
